Rupee ends higher

MUMBAI: The rupee recovered its early sharp losses on Wednesday amidst high volatility and ended up at 41.1050/1150 against the US currency following smart recovery in local equity markets and fresh capital inflows.

In active trade at the interbank foreign exchange market, the rupee opened sharply lower at 41.32/33 from Tuesday’s close of 41.1650/1725 per dollar. The rupee later ended at 41.1050/1150, up by nearly six paise over previous close. — PTI
