Narain keeps off the track

Rayan Rozario

Silverstone: The sleepy town of Silverstone, for the second day, woke up to the sounds of the revving engines.

But, with Narain Karthikeyan running a bout of fever, a rather chill and quiet atmosphere prevailed at the A1 Team India garage at the Silverstone International Circuit in England on Wednesday.

The 30-year-old, who set the fifth quickest lap round the British track on the first day of the official testing on Tuesday, obviously wanted to make the best use of the testing sessions to understand the car better. But it was quite disappointing for Narain as he had to miss one full day of testing.

Four-time F-1 world champion Alain Prost was at the circuit as on Tuesday evening. Not just to see his son Nicolas Prost (A1 Team France) getting used to the power of the V-8 engine A1 Team car but to create a bit of interest and analyse the benefits of bio-fuels at the A1GP Think Greener Racing launch.
