Mysore: A hat-trick by left-in Sachin Somanna (7th, 15th and 22nd minute), helped Sri Ramakrishna Vidyashala register a 3-0 win over JSS High School in the final in the high school boys’ section of the district-level hockey tournament conducted by the PG Sports Council at the University grounds here on Wednesday. The college boys’ final was washed out owing to heavy rains in the evening and the trophy was shared by both the finalists. The results: High School boys (final): Sri Ramakrishna Vidyashala bt JSS High School 3-0; Third place: Marimallappa’s HS bt Baden Powell HS 3-0. High School girls (final): JSS High School bt Good Shepherd High School 2-1 (via tie-breaker). HPS boys (final): De Paul International Residential School bt Sree Cauvery Primary School 1-0; Third place: JSS ‘A’ bt JSS ‘B’ 1-0. HPS girls (final): Good Shepherd HPS bt JSS Primary School 1-0. College boys (final): Match washed out owing to rain. Trophy shared by SBRR Mahajana FGC and SBRR Mahajana PU College. — Our Correspondent
