Hoax call
BANGALORE: Classes were suspended for a few hours at Seshadripuram College in Yelahanka New Town on Wednesday following an anonymous telephone call (the third in the last few days), that a bomb has been planted at the college. The police said that around 9.30 a.m., the college principal Uma Devi received the threat call and she alerted the police. The police and the staff of Bomb Detection Squad searched the campus. No explosives were found and the call turned out to be hoax, the police said.
On the basis of the number displayed by the caller identification device, the police traced the call to a PCO. The police suspect that some mischievous students could have made the call. The Yelahanka New Town police have registered a case.
