55 officers transferred in U.P.

Lucknow: In yet another administrative reshuffle, Uttar Pradesh Government has transferred 55 officers, including 10 IAS officials. The others who have been transferred include eight IPS, 24 Provincial Civil Service officers and 13 Additional Superintendent of Police, official sources said on Thursday.

Among the IAS officers who have been transferred include Rama Shankar Sahu, who was put on wait list for his alleged involvement in getting a land in Daulatpur village for Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan during his tenure as DM, Barabanki.

Mr. Sahu has been made Special Secretary, Transport. Principal Secretary, Khadi and Rural Industries, B.B. Singh Vishen has been appointed MD, Bureau of Public Enterprises while Alok Tondon has been appointed as MD, Power Generation Corporation, they said prominent among the IPS officers, who have been shifted are SP Vigilance Agra Deepesh Juneja, who goes to Allahabad as SSP, SP CBCID, Lucknow Rajeev Sabbarwal to Kanpur as SSP, S K Kaul to Bulandshahr as SP. Besides 24 PCS officers and 13 ASPs were also transferred.- PTI
