Samastipur: Five persons were feared drowned when a country boat capsized in swirling waters in flooded Hassanpura area of Bihar’s Samastipur district on Wednesday, a day after the death of at least 14 people in a boat capsize in Khagaria. District Magistrate, Samastipur, M. Sharwan Kumar said of the 20 people onboard, 15 swam to safety but others were missing. The boat sailed from Hassanpura for Rajpura Dumra and suddenly toppled near Hassanpura Bazar due to wind , Mr Kumar said. Local divers were searching for the five with fishing nets.
