Government medical college teachers’ meet in Kottayam

KOTTAYAM: The 39th annual conference of the Kerala Government Medical College Teachers’ Association (KGMCTA) begins here on Saturday. The two day conference will be inaugurated by Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan at the Kottayam Government Medical College campus. P.K. Sreemathy, Minister for Health, will deliver the keynote address. The high points of the annual conference would be the detailed discussions on the strategy for development of the Government medical colleges and the formation of a medical university, the two issues on which the Dr. B. Ekbal Commission had submitted a report. The newly elected president of the Association, A. Sarath Kumar, will take charge during the conference.
