Portal for missing child launched

GUNTUR: Transport Minister Kanna Lakshminarayana on Thursday launched a web portal, http://missingchildsearch.net, an initiative of nation-wide network Home link Network at the Don Bosco Navajeevan centre at Chandramoulinagar here.

The website assists the child’s family or people to post the details of missing children on the web portal, which would help trace the child at the earliest. Speaking on the occasion, he lauded the initiative of the organisation in launching the web site and said that it would become a useful tool in tracing missing children. Homelink is network spread across 65 cities in the country and active among organizations, which was part of networking for children in difficult situations. The database would be frequently monitored by the network administrators and communication would be shared by the voluntary organisations.
