MADURAI: The Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court on Wednesday closed a writ petition filed by E. Athisayakumar, Tuticorin district secretary of the Puthiya Tamizhagam, seeking permission to hold a procession-cum-demonstration against the Tata’s proposed titanium dioxide plant. Nevertheless, Justice V. Ramasubramanian said it was open to the petitioner to file a fresh representation to the Sathankulam Deputy Superintendent of Police, who shall consider it on merits.
