Sewage stagnates on the campus of LRG College of Arts for Women in Tirupur.
TIRUPUR: Hundreds of students of LRG Government Arts College for Women on Tuesday threatened to block road or strike if the Municipal administration fails to take action to block the flow of sewage into their college campus.
The students led by college chairperson A. Usharani submitted memoranda to the Revenue Divisional Officer and Municipal Commissioner here on Tuesday pressing their demands. Ms. Usharani and secretary M. Komathi stated in their plea that sewage started flowing from outside into their campus following the heavy rain on August 24. It stagnated inside the campus. As raining season started they fear the situation would get worsened in the coming days. Students threatened to agitate if the authorities failed to take steps.
