Lanka Ravi for Liverpool chess

HYDERABAD: International Master and GM-norm holder Lanka Ravi of Andhra Pradesh will take part in the Liverpool international open chess championship to be held in England from September 3 to 9, according to a release here.

The event carries prize money of Rs. 8 lakh. Ravi was chosen by virtue of his performance in the Aeroflot tournament in Moscow in March.
