Power thief jailed

NEW DELHI: A special court for electricity-related cases at Rohini in the Capital has sentenced a power thief to simple imprisonment for a year. Kuldeep Verma was booked for direct theft of 10.88 kW of electricity by power distributor NDPL during an inspection in 2005. The total load being stolen was worth Rs. 2.65 lakh.
