Dharna against hike in property tax

MAHABUBNAGAR: Demanding the withdrawal of the recent hike in property tax, the activists of Telugu Desam party staged a dharna near Municipal office here on Thursday. The protest demonstration was led by former MP from Mahabubnagar, A.P.Jitender Reddy, T.D.P. general secretary Govardhan Yadav, town T.D.P. president Vanaganti Shankar and T.D.P. floor leader Krishna Mohan. The leaders said that the hike was abnormal and it burdened the residents heavily. The leaders said that the struggle would continue till the Government withdraws the hike.-Staff Reporter
