Tendulkar talk
Special Correspondent
SATHNUR: Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy on Thursday decided to do a Sachin Tendulkar in dealing with his political detractors.
“Cricketer Sachin told his critics that he would not reply to them. But his bat would give a befitting reply. Similarly, I would like to tell my political opponents that the programmes taken up by me will speak for themselves and I will not make an oral reply,” the Chief Minister remarked.
Referring to the remarks of Congress leader D.K. Shivakumar that power was temporary, he said, “I realised right from the first day of my chief ministership that power is temporary. I am not under the illusion that I will be in power permanently. I am not interested in manipulating the situation to continue as Chief Minister,” Mr. Kumaraswamy said, hinting that he would hand over power to the Bharatiya Janata Party on schedule in October.
