Ganesh idol immersion: court seeks report

Hyderabad: A Division Bench of the Andhra Pradesh High Court on Thursday asked the State Government to report within a week about the implementation of the proposal to follow the Pune model for Ganesh immersion.

The Bench was dealing with a case pertaining to pollution of Hussainsagar. It wanted the authorities to consider the implementation of the Pune model where small idols are immersed.

The Government pleader sought a week’s time to report back.
