Taiwanese poet calls on Governor

CHENNAI : Dr. Yu Hsi, an accomplished photographer, poet, musician and writer from Taiwan called on the Governor, Surjit Singh Barnala at Raj Bhavan on Wednesday.

A release from the Raj Bhavan said the Taiwanese poet was in Chennai to participate at the XXVII World Congress of Poets.

During the meeting, the Taiwanese poet presented a book of poems to the Governor. The book, published in Chinese and English languages, was dedicated to the former President of India, A.P.J.Abdul Kalam.

Concert

A concert titled ‘Yu Hsi Concert – Sonata of Life, Crane Summit 21st Century International Form’ will be held at 6.30 p.m. on Friday at Narada Gana Sabha, Alwarpet added the release.
