CHENNAI: Southern Railway will operate special trains to clear extra rush of passengers.
Chennai Egmore–Tiruvarur specials (0678) will leave Tiruvarur at 9.30 pm on September 2 and 8 and arrive at Chennai Egmore at 6.30 am the next day.
In the return direction the train (0677) will leave Chennai Egmore at 7 pm on September 3 and reach Tiruvarur at 4 am the next day.
The trains will stop at Thanjavur, Tiruchirappalli, Vriddhachalam, Villupuram, Tindivanam, Chengalpattu and Tambaram. The train (0678) will stop at Mambalam also.
Chennai Egmore–Tiruchirappalli special (0639) will leave Chennai Egmore at 11 pm on September 9 and reach Tiruchirappalli at 6.15 am the next day. The train will stop at Tambaram, Chengalpattu, Tindivanam, Villupuram and Vriddhachalam.
Tuticorin–Tiruvarur special (0682) will leave Tuticorin at 5.30 pm on September 7 and reach Tiruvarur at 4 am the next day. In the return direction, the train (0681) will leave Tiruvarur at 10.30 pm on September 8 and reach Tuticorin at 7.30 am the next day.
The trains will stop at Vanchi Maniyachchi, Kovilpatti, Sattur, Virudhunagar, Madurai, Dindigul, Tiruchirappallli and Thanjavur.
Advance reservation for the train (0678) on September 2 and the train (0677) on September 3 will commence on August 31 and for all other trains on September 1.
