Call centre opened

Hosur: Minister for Local Administration M.K. Stalin on Friday inaugurated a rural Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) unit-cum-call centre at Chanachandiram near here.

The building, which was in a dilapidated stage, had now been renovated and put to good use, he said. The call centre would impart training as well as provide employment to Plus-Two educated youth from naxal-affected villages in Krishnagiri district.

A total of 25 workstations had been set up in the call centre for this purpose, he said.

About 75 youth from naxal-prone villages would be trained round the clock in the call centre.
