Dropouts can study VIII Standard

PUDUCHERRY: School dropouts and those unable to avail themselves of formal education, and are 15 years of age, can directly study VIII Standard under the National Institute of Open Schooling’s Open Basic Education ‘C’ level offered by District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) here.

According to an official release, those who have completed V Standard can provide a self-declaration that they have completed Std V to join the course. They can register with the Coordinator, National Institute of Open Schooling, DIET, Lawspet, before September 10.
