Chennai: President Pratibha Patil will deliver the inaugural foundation day address at the Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development at Sriperumbudur on Saturday.
Upon arrival at the Rajiv Gandhi Memorial at 11.15 a.m. from Chennai, she would pay tributes to the former Prime Minister before arriving at the institute at 11.35 a.m., a press release said. She will first inaugurate an auditorium in the premises. At 11.50 a.m., she will unveil the institute’s logo and inaugurate the websites. The Presidential address will be at 12.02 pm, after which she will interact with children present at the venue.
She will leave Sriperumbudur for Chennai at 12.55 p.m. by helicopter. She will depart for Delhi at 4.10 p.m.
Union Minister of Panchayati Raj, Youth Affairs and Sports Mani Shankar Aiyar will be present during the inauguration. — Special Correspondent
