10-wicket win for Coimbatore

Coimbatore: A fine spell by left-arm spinner Aushik Srinivas (four for zero) enabled host Coimbatore score a 10-wicket win over Namakkal and enter the pre-quarterfinal of the TNCA under-17 inter-district cricket tournament here on Friday.

Thiruvannamalai, which defeated Dharmapuri by 70 runs, also made it to the pre-quarterfinals.

The scores: Namakkal 62 in 24.1 overs (Bharath Chezhian three for 37, Aushik Srinivas four for zero) lost to Coimbatore 63 for no loss in 16 overs.

Thiruvannamalai 209 in 49.4 overs (Tamil Malarvannan 51, Suresh 51, Sathish three for 33, Venkatesh three for 36) bt Dharmapuri 139 in 44.2 overs (Raghunath 36, B. Nazeer four for 29).
