Akshaya Homes’ business plans

CHENNAI: Akshaya Homes, a Chennai-based real estate developer, plans to enter the Bangalore, Hyderabad, Coimbatore, Madurai and Tiruchirapalli markets in the current fiscal.

Addressing presspersons here on Friday, T. Chitty Babu, Managing Director and CEO, said the company was in the process of acquiring land in these cities to build a ‘land bank’. It had so far completed and handed over 126 projects while work on 10-11 projects was going on.

The company, which has reported a turnover of Rs. 100 crore in 2006-07, was aiming at Rs. 350 crore in 2007-08. It would also invest Rs. 25 crore towards technology, manpower and infrastructure and would double the workforce to 120.
