Corporate Reporter

CHENNAI: Paramount Airways will expand its operations and improve intra-State air connectivity in Kerala by linking Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi and Kozhikode.

After a meeting with the Kerala Chief Minister V. S. Achuthanandan and the Cochin International Airport Ltd. (CIAL) Managing Director Sriram Bhagat on Thursday, M. Thiagarajan, Managing Director, Paramount Airways, told presspersons that Paramount would operate more flights to the State and was aiming at making Kochi one of its operational hubs.

Mr. Thiagarajan said he had suggested to the Chief Minister that 30-40 per cent seats be reserved for Government officials.

According to him, the Chief Minister and the CIAL Managing Director offered to work out a package to make the operations suggested viable for the company.
