Awards for rehabilitation of physically handicapped

Chennai: The State Government has invited applications from individuals and organisations for nominations to the National Awards for rehabilitation of the physically handicapped.
The awards are instituted by the Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.
Employers or firms that have provided employment to the disabled, institutions that have created barrier-free environments, manufacturers of equipment for use by the disabled, and others are eligible for submitting applications, a press release said.
Application forms are available with the District Rehabilitation Office.
The filled-in application forms should be submitted before September 5 to the Office of the Commissioner for the Disabled, 15/1, Model School Road, Thousand Lights, Chennai 600 006.
