HYDERABAD: The Secunderabad Cantonment Board has decided not to allow local lorry operators association to put up Ganesh pandal in the vacant site beside the Temple opposite the YMCA since it has been earmarked for a park.
This was decided at its meeting on Friday after the High Court forwarded a plea filed by the association seeking permission for the pandal. Chief Executive Officer V. Premchand pointed out that the 3,000 sq.yards was taken possession after a decade long legal battle with the lorry association.
A compound wall too has been built ever since the Supreme Court gave a verdict in favour of SCB few months ago against the association.
