Eight held for damaging vehicles

NEW DELHI: Eight persons were arrested at Nangloi here on Friday on charges of damaging two vehicles while protesting against the killing of a Dalit at Gohana in Haryana earlier this week.

A large number of people gathered at Peeragarhi in the morning to protest against the killing and to demand action against the guilty. According to the police, the crowd dispersed peacefully but some of the miscreants hurled stones at vehicles, damaging two of them at Nangloi.

The police arrested eight of the protesters for indulging in violence.
