NEW DELHI: A 32-year-old software engineer was found hanging in his house at Mayur Vihar here on Friday. Sanjay Kumar Bhatt, who worked for HCL in Noida, allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan at his rented accommodation in Mayur Vihar Phase - III in the evening. He had been living with his wife Rajni and brother Ashwini Bhatt.
When Ashwini returned home from work around 10 p.m. he found the house open and Sanjay’s body hanging from the fan. He called up the police control room and also informed his relatives before shifting the body to Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital. Rajni had left for Jammu a fortnight ago to meet her parents.
“We found a suicide note in Sanjay’s shirt pocket in which he said no one was to be blamed for his death,” said a police officer. Preliminary investigations revealed that Sanjay was depressed since his marriage in January.
