Injury scare for Zaheer

Leeds: The Indian team arrived here on Friday afternoon. The side will meet England in the fifth match of the Natwest ODI series, a day game, on Sunday.

Pace bowler Zaheer Khan did not appear in any discomfort although there is a definite injury concern about him after he twisted his left ankle while batting. The effect of the injury was visible during Zaheer’s final spell at the Old Trafford.

It is learnt that match referee Roshan Mahanama had a conversation on the on-field behaviour with the captains and the managers of both the sides after Thursday’s game. He did not impose any fine or warn any player officially though. — Special Correspondent
