Bidar: The district court has sentenced a person to two years’ simple imprisonment for assaulting a driver of a Northeast Karnataka Road Transport Corporation bus. Judge K.R. Padasalagi also imposed a fine of Rs. 4,000 on Jagannath Narasappa of Malkapur. The police had filed a charge sheet against Narasappa for assaulting the driver and disrupting his work. — Staff Correspondent
