HYDERABAD: The Telugu Desam Party has asked the Government to ‘open its eyes at least now’, in the wake of the High Court ruling on grant of lease to the Obulapuram Mining Corporation (OMC) and scrap GO 152 permitting the company to mine for iron ore in another stretch of land in the same area. Senior TDP leader and former Law Minister P. Chandrasekhar and M.V. Mysoora Reddy, MP, told a press conference here that Friday’s decision of the High Court was yet another ‘slap on the face of the Government”. Responding to a question if the TDP would join the legal battle seeking cancellation of the mining permits to the company in another survey number where it was undertaking operations, Dr. Reddy said TDP would not implead in the case.
