Cute arrivals: Muscovy duck chicks are the newest attraction at Guindy National Park.

CHENNAI: Four-week-old Muscovy duck chicks are the new attraction at Children’s Park in Guindy.

Ashish Srivastava, Wildlife Warden, Chennai, said the chicks were hatched last week and that they were healthy.

Milk with water and finely cut greens, cabbage and a few other vegetables were being provided to the chicks and the mother, he said.

The chicks were eating only a small quantity of vegetables provided once a day by the authorities.

Muscovy ducks are a hybrid species.

The species was being housed in the park for over 10 years, added the authorities.
