Party leaders to tour Kadapa and campaign against irregularities in welfare schemes
KADAPA: Telugu Desam Party observer Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdary called upon the party cadre on Monday to propagate the State Government’s failures. Addressing an extensive party meeting here, he said efforts were on to strengthen the party in Kadapa district. TDP leaders and activists would tour rural and urban areas from September 6 and would campaign against irregularities in Government schemes and misuse of benefits given to ineligible persons. He directed steps to strengthen TDP from the village level. Crores of rupees sanctioned by the Government for development activities in the district was being misused, he alleged. Mr. Chowdary charged Congressmen with usurping funds and resorting to irregularities. TDP was waging agitations on corruption in Government schemes, irregularities in Indiramma scheme and skyrocketing prices, he said. Law and order deteriorated in the State and hundreds of murders took place in Congress rule, the TDP leader alleged. Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy failed to safeguard lives of people, he alleged. The Government would be routed in the next elections if the state of affairs continued, he cautioned. Lists of beneficiaries
District TDP president S. Raghurami Reddy urged constituency in-charges to propagate the Government’s failures and corruption in Indiramma scheme and disbursal of pensions. Constituency in-charges would be handed over lists of beneficiaries under various schemes and they should enlighten people on inclusion of ineligible ones, he said. Forty per cent of Assembly seats would be given to youth in the next elections, Mr. Raghurami Reddy promised. Telugu Yuvatha would gain prominence in the coming days. Rajya Sabha member C. Ramachandraiah accused the Government of failing to ensure betterment of poorer sections. Law and order deteriorated, he alleged. The meeting condoled the victims of Hyderabad bomb blast and recent death of a TDP leader of Khajipet Kalasapati Suryanarayana Rao. Rajya Sabha member M.V. Mysoora Reddy, MLC M. Venkatasiva Reddy, former MP S. Ramamuni Reddy, former Ministers P. Ramasubba Reddy, Saraswathamma, S.A. Khaleel Basha and P. Brahmaiah, former MLAs K. Sivananda Reddy and R. Ramesh Kumar Reddy also participated.
