The JAC leaders, headed by V. Gopal Reddy, chairman, who called on Dr. Reddy, also sought an increase in HRA ceiling from Rs.3,000 to Rs.5,000.

They said the suggested increases should be extended to the staff with effect from April 1 this year.

The leaders, who called on the Chief Minister, included D. Sudhakar, secretary-general of JAC, P. Subbarayan, deputy secretary-general, K. Swamy Goud, co-chairman, N. Anand Rao of AP Revenue Services Association, Ramakrishna, president, Secretariat Employees’ Association, and Syed Mahmood, president, APSRTC National Mazdoor Union.
