TURNAROUND: Resourceperson Radha Rajkumar handling a session for students of Montfort School at Kattur in Tiruchi. —
TIRUCHI: Imagine you and your team slog for days to prepare an audio-video presentation for a school project. On the day of your presentation, the audio fails and you are left with a mute presentation. Now you have three options – your team can toss the papers out of frustration, ask for extension from your teacher or ask any of your team-mate to lend voice live for the presentation. If you decide to opt for any of the first two, it is high time you attended The Hindu’s NIE session on ‘adaptability.’ The second module of Skill Enhancing Games (Social), ‘Adaptability,’ is packed with interesting situation rounds that take the students through a world of simulation. At the recent session conducted for class VIII students of Montfort School, Kattur, the students learnt that adapting to situations would shape a positive attitude of students towards life. Resource person Radha Rajkumar split the classes in three groups, throwing random real-life situation simulation at them. “How will you react when a quiz programme, wherein you topped the event, was aired on a day when you were left writing an important test?” was the second situation given to the students. All kinds of answers poured in during the session. “Adaptability could do wonders to both you and your friends. The more adaptable you are, the more adorable you become,” she told the students.
