Caught breaking hundi

CHENNAI: A 29-year-old man was caught by people, when he attempted to break open the hundi of a temple in MKB Nagar on Sunday. Police identified the accused as Arokiya Das of Kodungaiyur.

Police said Arokiya Das allegedly tried to break open the hundi of Aadhiparasakthi Temple in MKB Nagar around 9 p.m. On hearing some noise, the local residents rounded him up and handed him over to the police. Police suspected that he could have been involved in similar ‘hundi’ breaking cases. Further investigation is on.
