NEW DELHI: The Munna Bhai series on the big screen saw actors Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi display excellent camaraderie. Now in an upcoming film the two talented actors will be seen not as buddies but as foes. Speaking about Indra Kumar’s “Dhamaal,” Arshad says: “Yes, Munna Bhai is out to finish me off in the film. Sanjay is this very determined cop who wants to make our life pure hell. Jokes apart, “Dhamaal” is a very fun-filled film and people will see quite a different side to the chemistry between the two of us.” In his latest “Shootout At Lokhandwala,” Sanjay Dutt played a seasoned police officer and in the upcoming film also he is playing a no-nonsense cop. In fact, he is the central protagonist and also the senior-most actor in the film. The story
Sanjay is after the life of four lovable and foolish guys — Arshad, Aashish Chowdhury, Reitesh Deshmukh and Javed Jaffrey — who find themselves in an uncanny situation one after the other. While Reitesh believes that he was born to be the best detective in the world, Javed is blissfully unaware about his intelligence. Javed’s elder brother Arshad has half knowledge about everything and provides expertise to this group. Aashish’s greatest fear is his father, Nari Contractor (Asrani). These four men are shown as living and working together. Their idea of work is doing small-time con jobs as they are just not interested in earning their livelihood honestly. So one day the four men try to save a dying man, Prem Chopra, who tells them about hidden money before passing away. They are ecstatic as they think they are about to get a treasure trove and will have a well secured life. But they are blissfully unaware that Police Inspector Sanjay has been chasing Prem for the past ten years.
