Kozhikode: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) district committee has decided to take out a march to the offices of M.P. Veerendrakumar and P. Sathidevi, MPs, on Thursday for “ the inept attitude shown by the MPs from Kerala to react against the Centre’s neglect towards the State and bifurcation of the Palakkad Railway Division.” The protest march is being organised as a State-wide agitation of the party. BJP State vice-president V. Mureleedharan will inaugurate the march in Kozhikode, while district president V.V. Rajan will flag it off at Vadakara. A district-level meeting of the party on Tuesday said that the statement of Minister of State for Railways R. Velu announcing the inauguration of the Salem division and rejecting the proposal for a zone with headquarters in Kerala revealed the incompetence of the MPs representing the State. They were hoodwinking people, the meeting alleged. BJP State president P.K. Krishnadas inaugurated the meeting. Party’s State vice-president K.P. Sreeshan and other office-bearers participated.
