IITs’ efforts lauded

NEW DELHI: Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia has said the Government is aware of the challenges in higher education, particularly the need to have more institutions of excellence like IITs.

Delivering the IIT (Kharagpur) Foundation Day lecture over the weekend, Mr. Ahluwalia lauded the IITs’ efforts to maintain high standards but warned them against complacency.
