dated September 5, 1957: Observance of sun-spot

Radio communications in most parts of the world will remain badly disturbed until the end of the week because of a very large sun-spot, experts in London said on September 3. The first warning came on August 27 when it was said communications would be poor until September 7. The sun-spot has increased rapidly and is now very large.
