Indo-Italian business set to grow

KOCHI: On the strength of the current growth in business between the two countries, Indo-Italian trade is expected to grow to $10 billion by 2010 from the current level of $3.5 billion, said Sergio Sgambato, Secretary-General of the Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry here on Tuesday.
He was speaking at a seminar organised by the chamber in the city on the theme Italy.
It was organised in collaboration with the Italian State Tourism Board and the Cochin Chamber of Commerce and Industry. India’s exports to Italy include spices, seafood, textiles, coffee and teaMr. Sgambato said that Italy had great strength in food processing.
