KPCC alleges bid to save Minister
Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) has accused the CPI (M) State secretariat of attempts to white wash the allegations against Health Minister P.K. Sreemathy relating to the Kiliroor case. In a statement here on Tuesday, KPCC general secretary Ajay Tharayil said Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan when he was Leader of the Opposition had alleged that the Kiliroor victim Shari had died following a visit by a VIP. Now that the girl’s parents had identified the VIP, the Chief Minister had requested the CBI to depute its senior officials to probe the case, the Minister should resign and face the probe, he said.
