Inadvertent flag-hoisting

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan has said the improper hoisting of the national flag at the University of Calicut on August 15 was due to inadvertence. Replying to a submission by Abdul Rabb (IUML) in the Assembly on Tuesday, Mr. Achuthanandan said the officials concerned were warned. The flag was found to be flying upside-down when it was hoisted. It was immediately hoisted properly, the Chief Minister said. — Special Correspondent
