CBI files report

Kochi: The CBI on Tuesday filed a report on the progress of the investigation into the Abhaya case in a sealed cover before the Ernakulum Chief Judicial Magistrate, T.K. Madhu.

The magistrate court had directed the CBI to file periodic reports on the progress of the investigation. The body of Abhaya, a 21-year-old inmate of the Pious X convent hostel, was found in March 1992 in a well inside the convent premises. —Special Correspondent
