BANGALORE: Postal dropped its first set of points after a goalless draw against SAI in the Super Division football league at the football stadium here on Tuesday. Postal gave early note of its superiority with Srinivasa firing it in but straight to rival custodian Dada Farid Khan. In fact, all of the shots that Postal attempted went straight into Dada Farid’s hands. Though the pace slackened after the change of ends, Postal had its chances. A poor clearance by Thamodaran of SAI saw Arvind latch on to the loose ball and shoot but straight to the goalkeeper. Srinivasa’s on-the-run effort too was gathered without any fuss by the SAI custodian. An Arun Pandey header off a Venkatesh flag kick too nestled neatly in Farid’s hands while at the other end captain Arokiaraj Kenneth unleashed a 35-yarder, only to see Ravindran in the Postal goal stretch full length to tip it over for an abortive corner. Postal with this draw has seven points from three matches while SAI have two points from three outings. Earlier in the A division league, Government Press downed Bangalore United Football Club (BUFC) 3-1 with goals coming from Bhaskar (19th), Vijay Babu (33rd) and Anthony Benedict (84th) for the winner and Kamal (46th) for BUFC.
