Encroachments removed

SANKAGIRI: The revenue officials removed encroachments on a ‘poramboke’ land in Katheri Kandasamypalayam here on Monday.

Officials said that a farmer occupied a 3.5 acre of poramboke land and established coconut and mango gardens. Following complaints from the public, the district administration deployed an earth mover and a team of workers to destroy the crops cultivated on the land.
