WARANGAL: Every political party is using the Telangana sentiment as an election plank to win the votes, but none is really committed to fulfil the aspirations of the people of the region, observed BJP leaders. Addressing the ‘Telangana Sadhana Sadassu’ here on Tuesday, several BJP leaders criticised both the TRS and Congress parties for deceiving the people of the region by promising a separate statehood. “Telangana is possible only through BJP,” they said unanimously. State unit president, Bandaru Dattatreya and official spokesperson, Prakash Javdekar said injustices done to the people of the region, denial of due share in natural resources – water, jobs and development, necessitated the struggle for the separate Telangana state. It was the Congress which deceived the people first and it continues to do so. The TRS which claimed to have formed for the cause too joined hands with the Congress dashing the hopes of Telangana people. BJP leaders Ch Janga Reddy, N Indrasena Reddy, Ch Vidyasagara Rao, K Laxman, T. Rajeshwar Rao, former MLAs M. Dharma Rao and V. Sriramulu and others said while the Congress Government was going ahead selling away the precious lands around the state capital, diluting the G.O. 610 and discriminating the Telangana region, the TRS had been maintaining silence.
