Bangalore: Max Mueller Bhavan has brought to the city, jung:de, a populr exhibition presented in German and designed specifically for a youthful audience worldwide. It is currently touring the country, providing interesting insights into the lives of young people in Germany today. The informal and attractive format of the exhibition offers glimpses into the German teenage mindset, what they think about topics such as family, school, education, books, film and much more. You will get to know what excites them, what frightens them, what makes them laugh, cry, and what they absolutely cannot stand. With the help of 16 CDs and interactive film and music, the visitor learns many interesting facts, some familiar, others quite surprising, about how young Germans live their lives and what their hopes and fears are for the future. In addition, the exhibition includes a short film featuring various aspects of the lives of young people such as a music station with 20 songs by the younger generation of German songwriters and their music and a photographic installation, My favourite thing em>. The exhibition is on view till September 22, 9 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. except Sundays and notified holidays. For details go to www.goethe.de/Bangalore or call 2520 5305/6/7/8.
