Rank list published: The results of the entrance examination for the Library and Information Science course offered by the Centre for Adult Continuing Education and Extension (CACEE) have been published. The admission will begin at 10. 30 a.m. on September 17. Students should report for the admission with certificates proving qualification and the receipt for the course fee paid. M.Phil. admission: Applications have been invited for the M.Phil. programme in the departments of Geology and Biochemistry 2007-08. The university had earlier invited applications for the M.Phil. programme in the Department of Biotechn ology. However, there is no M.Phil. programme in that department.

Notional registration: Regular students of affiliated colleges who were not able to submit applications in time for the semester-based degree examinations, conducted in April-May this year, can now apply for class promotion through not ional registration.

Such students should, however, have the necessary attendance to quality for class promotion.

Those students who were caught committing malpractice during examinations can avail themselves of this opportunity to complete their course. Such students will be allowed to write further examinations only on the basis of the decision taken by the Examination Discipline Committee.

Applications should be sent in the prescribed format, along with the specified examination fee and the notional registration fee of Rs.800, through the Principal concerned before September 15. Applications should be sent to ‘The Controller of Examinations, University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram – 34.’ The envelope should be superscribed with the words ‘Semester Degree: Notional Registration – April/May 2007.’

MCA examination: Applications for the second semester MCA examinations beginning October 4 and for the fourth semester MCA examinations beginning October 5 can be submitted without fine till September 7, with a fine of Rs.50 till Septe mber 11, and with a fine of Rs.250 till September 13.

LLM examination: Applications for the fourth semester LLM examination beginning September 25 can be submitted without fine till September 10 and with a fine of Rs.50 till September 13.

Applications invited: Applications have been invited for admission to the certificate course in medical and psychiatric social work offered by the CACEE. Those with a recognised bachelor’s degree can apply for the six-month cours e. There is no upper age limit. Classes will be held on Saturdays and Sundays. The last date for submitting applications is September 27. For details, call 0471-2302523.

M.Phil. results: The results of the M.Phil. examinations (2006-07) at the Department of Chemistry have been published.

MDS results: The results of the part two MDS examinations held in June 2007 have been published.
