Free power for farmers in TDP agenda, says Kadiam Srihari

Staff Reporter

Decision on Telangana would be taken at the right time: Srihari

‘Opinion polls confirmed improvement of TDP’s performance in State’

Sangareddy: Telugu Desam would not hesitate giving free power to farmers if it comes to power, said party general secretary and former Minister Kadiam Srihari here on Tuesday, while addressing the Medak district extended general body meeting.

True representation

Preparing the party cadre in the district for the month long “Palle Palle ki, Vada Vada ki TDP” programme slated to begin from this Thursday , Srihari said that the party election manifesto would be a true representation of aspirations of the people of the State.

He said that issues like free power would certainly find a place in the party agenda if the people wanted it. Similarly party president N.Chandrababu Naidu has already announced that a decision on Telangana would be taken at a right time, Srihari added.

Calling the party cadre to explain to the people in the Telangana region about the alleged deceptive tactics of the Telangana Rastra Samithi’s chief K.Chandrasekhar Rao, Srihari said that the Congress and TRS combine would once again cheat the people of Telangana on statehood.

He explained to the cadre that only TDP could fight head on with the Congress and TRS alliance in the State.

He said that the recent opinion polls all over the country have confirmed improvement of TDP’s performance and a setback to the Congress in Andhra Pradesh. Attributing the decline in law and order situation in the State to the sidelining of honest IAS and IPS officers, Srihari alleged that the Government preferred loyalty to efficiency.

Former Ministers Babu Mohan and Cheruku Mutyam Reddy, Medak TDP chief Mainampalli Hanmantha Rao, General secretary Sapana Dev, state observer H. Nageswara Rao, Zilla Parishad Floor leader Bakki Venkataiah and Medak municipal chairman Batti Jagapathi were also present at the meeting.
