City I to meet City III

Chennai: City I and City III entered the final of the TNCA under-19 round-robin cricket tournament on Tuesday. City I drew its round-robin match with District I, but qualified after taking a 98-run lead.

City III’s Malolan Rangarajan and M. Guhan put on 92 runs for the eighth wicket in 20.3 overs, which took their team past District II’s first innings score.

The scores: City I 288 & 27 for two in 11 overs drew with District I 190 in 65 overs (K.V. Sethumadavan 70)

Districts II 176 & 130 for eight in 38 overs (R. Saravana Kumar three for 50) drew with City III 231 in 84.3 overs (Malolan Rangarajan 65, M. Guhan 60, E.J. Karthik six for 83).
